James, Is That You? is a scrub held at one metre or lower over a bump. The bike-control family records it, and 18.2 percent of players have done it. The height is the whole rule. A spectacular high jump does not count, and a scrub that floats at two metres is the wrong shape. You want the bike flat and close to the crest.
The Compound is the place to learn the input. It is free roam, described as a multi-square-kilometre training area, and it exists for scrubs and whips. A race will also accept the trick, but the first corner of a 20-rider MXGP grid is a bad classroom. Find a single bump, come in with enough speed to clear it, and push the bike sideways while you stay low. Manual stand and sit, once enabled, moves weight. Too much stand and the scrub gets tall. Too much sit and you case the face.
Cheat! sits next to this icon because both are bike-control, and a scrub that leaves the track can become the penalty instead of the trick. Unicycle, the fifty-metre wheelie, uses the same yard and a different balance. Superman needs a finish line, so the Compound cannot host it. Hotshot, a full race with no assist, is the strict riding test that comes after the trick is reliable. Learn the one-metre scrub before you turn the assists off, not after.
Ruts change the bump. Lap one on Loket hard-pack is a mild crest. Lap eight is a kicker with a trench in front of it. A scrub you measured in the Compound can suddenly be too high once the rut has a lip. Replay will show the height better than the live camera. The first-person camera was smoothed in PC Update 1, but field of view still changes how tall the jump looks. Trust the bike, not the wide lens.
