Hotshot is a full race finished with no assist. Bike-control family, 0.8 percent. Finishing is the word that matters. You do not have to win. You do have to complete the distance while the help is off. A race you quit on lap three does not count, and a race you finish with the stability net still on does not count.

Assist profiles run from Amateur to Expert and share their words with the four AI levels. They are not the same switch. Expert AI can still be raced with assists on, which is how Trust Me, I'm an Expert can tick while this icon stays dark. Hotshot is the profile set to nothing. Cheat!, the one-metre scrub and the fifty-metre wheelie are the neighbours because they are the inputs you will need once the net is gone. Learn the scrub and the wheelie in the Compound first. Then turn the help off for a short offline heat.

Sand is where the missing assist shows up. Riola Sardo lets the rear step out in a way hard-pack at Loket forgives. A short race on hard-pack is the kinder first finish. A long race on sand is the one that explains the 0.8 percent. MXGP can grid 20 offline and MX2 can grid 16. Either class is legal. Fewer riders means fewer contacts that knock you into a respawn. The icon does not forbid a respawn. Clean Rider does. You can crash, remount and still finish this one, as long as the assist stays off.

Online is legal too. A private lobby of friends is a better classroom than a public Elo room, where quitting looks like a disconnect and the field will not wait while you remember the clutch. PC Update 1 smoothed other riders in online races and fixed a batch of join and crash bugs. Take the patch before you use a ten-rider room as the test. Speed Regulation Assist is already deactivated on PC. Do not hunt a menu to turn it back on in the name of stability. It could stop the bike accelerating, which is the opposite of help.
