MXGP 26 - The Official Game is out for Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Artefacts Studio built it and Nacon publishes it. This is the second MXGP game and the first from Artefacts Studio. The PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series builds shipped together on 1 October 2026. There is no PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo version in this release.
Genres on the store are Racing, Simulation and Sports. Ratings are PEGI 3 and ESRB E. Interface and subtitle languages are English, French, Italian, German, Spanish - Spain, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese - Brazil, Russian and Simplified Chinese. A gamepad is the recommended way to ride. Keyboard-only play is supported, and controller support is partial rather than a full button-for-button map of every menu.

19 tracks, 16 bikes, five ways to race
Seven tracks are named in public posts. Offline grids are 20 in MXGP and 16 in MX2.
Unreal Engine 5, physics rewritten, ruts lap after lap
Hard pack, sand and clay each keep their own feel when the track is wet.
PC Update 1 downloaded itself on launch day
Remappable keys, online physics, AI fixes, and Speed Regulation Assist switched off.
What you can race on day one
- Grand Prix
- PC launch mode. Weekender is a full GP weekend in this wording.
- Quick Race
- Xbox name for a heat against a grid of 20, in shorter and longer distances.
- Championship
- The season you can play now. Lighter than a full career, which is the next iteration.
- Time Attack
- PC hot lap. Xbox calls the same idea Time Trial.
- The Compound
- Free roam on PC and Xbox.
- Online
- PC public Elo lobby or a private one. Xbox is 2 to 10 players. No cross-play.
- MXGP grid
- Offline field of up to 20.
- MX2 grid
- Offline field of up to 16, matching the 2026 MX2 entry.
- Online cap
- 10 riders.
- AI
- Four levels, Amateur to Expert.
- Assists
- The same Amateur-to-Expert spread, on a separate switch from the AI.
- Manual stand
- Off by default. On, rider weight moves the bike.
- Speed Regulation
- Switched off in PC Update 1 because it could block acceleration. Leave it off.
- Replay and photo
- Both in the build. Aesthete is the only snapshot icon.

- 19 tracks. Public posts name seven.
- July tracks
- Bariloche, volcanic soil. Riola Sardo, sand. Pietramurata, compact dirt. Loket, hard-pack.
- Patch tracks
- Arnhem, Foxhills and Johannesburg appear in PC Update 1 without a country or a soil.
- Quiet tracks
- Twelve circuits stay on the calendar without a public name.
- Bikes
- Sixteen is the fleet size. No model-by-model list.
- Factories
- Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, KTM and Husqvarna, named in the 24 September note.

- Fox Racing, Alpinestars, Scott and Airoh.

- More riders were not part of this year. Handguards cannot come off.
