2026 calendar
The 2026 calendar in MXGP 26 holds 19 tracks shared by MXGP and MX2. Public notes name seven of them. Four arrived with the 21 July announcement and three more appear only because PC Update 1 had to fix the AI or the holeshot there. The other twelve are on the schedule without a name you can cite from those posts. Filter the table by the soil we actually have, not by a guess.
MXGP offline grids go to 20 riders. MX2 offline grids stop at 16, the size of the official 2026 MX2 entry. Both classes share this calendar. A win on every track, Around the World, is a racing achievement measured against the tracks you can start, which is the full 19, not only the seven with names.

The four tracks from July
- Bariloche
- Argentine circuit on volcanic soil. A dry line and a wet line will not brake the same way once the ruts start.
- Crest
- No lap length or corner count was published. Treat the volcanic crest as loose stuff on a harder base.
- Tape
- Straightening that crest by riding off the tape is a penalty, the same cut a short inside line earns.
- Riola Sardo
- Sardinian sand track. Sand is one of the three named surfaces and keeps its own feel when rain arrives.
- Sand berm
- A committed lean holds the berm. A chopped throttle does not.
- Scrub
- The lip is visible and the landing is soft enough to repeat the scrub that James, Is That You? measures.
- Pietramurata
- Italian circuit, called compact dirt. Compact dirt is not the same phrase as clay.
- Clay
- Clay is the third surface in the launch description, named on its own. The July note does not file Pietramurata under it.
- Braking
- Harder and sharper than Riola Sardo. Braking bumps square off instead of blowing out.
- Loket
- Czech circuit and the hard-pack example. Hard pack keeps a distinct wet feel.
- Dry rut
- On a dry Loket afternoon the rut is a groove you can trust.
- Wet rut
- In the rain that groove can ice over while the crown of the berm stays loose.
- July note
- Source for all four places, all four soils, and the October window that later became 1 October.
Names that arrived with the patch
- Arnhem
- Not in the July list. The AI was leaving the track, and PC Update 1 pulls those riders back.
- Arnhem soil
- The note does not say which country Arnhem stands in for, and it does not name the soil.
- Foxhills
- The AI misbehaved on slopes. No country and no surface, only the slope bug.
- Johannesburg
- The holeshot trigger did not fire, so a rider could lead the start and still miss the Fox Holeshot credit.
- What a Start!
- Farming that icon on Johannesburg was blocked until the trigger awarded the holeshot into the first corner.
- After the patch
- Lead into the first corner and the holeshot credit should land, including on Johannesburg itself.
- Filter
- Separate these three from the July circuits. They are real tracks in the build. The soil cell stays blank.
- Scrub lesson
- Choose Riola Sardo when you want a visible lip and a soft landing.
- Wet hard-pack
- Choose Loket when you want the hard-pack feel in the rain.
- Holeshot
- After the Johannesburg fix, any track works for What a Start!, including Johannesburg.
Classes, grids and the twelve quiet tracks
- Shared calendar
- MXGP and MX2 ride the same tracks. They do not share a grid size.
- MXGP grid
- Premier class offline races can start 20 riders.
- MX2 grid
- Support class offline races stop at 16, the official 2026 MX2 entry used at launch.
- Online
- Caps at 10, in a public Elo room or a private lobby on PC, and in the two-to-ten range on Xbox.
- Weekender
- A full GP weekend, not a single class. Both grid shapes show up when the weekend includes both classes.
- Quiet twelve
- Nineteen minus seven leaves twelve tracks with no public name in the launch posts. They are still on the calendar.
- Around the World
- A win on each track you can start, including the twelve without a public name, not only the seven in the table.
- Launch scope
- 19 tracks, 16 bikes and the official riders. A later note that names an eighth track for a fix belongs beside Arnhem: the name, what the note said, and a blank soil cell.
- Ruts
- They build on every circuit, named or not. A hard-pack Loket rut and a sand rut at Riola Sardo do not teach the same line.
- Replay
- Shows the lap you just lost. Photo mode can keep the crest. Neither one names the twelve quiet tracks.
- Riding page
- Hard pack, sand and clay, including rain, are written up there.
- Patch page
- Arnhem, Foxhills and Johannesburg are on the PC Update 1 checklist. Tick it after the download.
