New Gear is the first equipment item the Workshop unlocks. Workshop family, 5.8 percent of players. It is not a win and it is not a setup change. Something in the gear menu becomes yours, and the icon ticks. The public note does not publish a shopping list of later items, so this page stops at the first one.
The licensed brands around that menu are Fox Racing, Alpinestars, Scott and Airoh, named with the bike editor on 24 September. They are what the rider wears. The factories in the same editor are Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, KTM and Husqvarna. A bike is not an equipment item in the sense this icon uses. Pro Bike Mechanic, the other workshop icon, is the one that wants a tuned bike and a win. You can unlock a jersey and still owe that win, and you can win on a stock bike and still owe the jersey.
There is no neighbour record on this icon. The editions page is the nearest practical cousin, because the Fox Holeshot Pack is five Fox Racing liveries and the Scrubdesignz set is six more. A livery downloaded from those apps is paint you own because you added the DLC. The Workshop unlock is progress inside the game. Do not assume the pack ticks New Gear. Open the Workshop after you have ridden, and see what the first item actually is.
Aesthete, the photo icon, is the reason a new jersey matters on the track. A snapshot in photo mode is easier to care about once the rider is not in default kit. The snapshot still will not substitute for the unlock. Ride until the Workshop offers the item, take it, and then go to photo mode if you want the picture. Removable handguards are not part of this menu. That option is absent from the build, so do not hunt a toggle that takes them off.
