Trust Me, I'm an Expert is a race win with the difficulty set to Expert. Racing family, 3.7 percent. The four AI levels run from Amateur to Expert, and this icon is the top of that ladder. It does not ask for a championship, a one-second margin or a clean sheet of penalties. One win, on that setting, is enough.
Assist profiles use the same words, Amateur through Expert, and they are a different control. The AI ladder chooses the riders. The assist profile chooses how much the motorcycle helps you. You can beat Expert AI while the stability net is still on. Hotshot is the icon that removes the net for a full race, and it does not require the Expert AI. Read the two switches before you spend the evening on the wrong one. Speed Regulation Assist should stay off either way. The day-one patch deactivated it because it could block acceleration.
A short heat is a legal win. You do not have to survive a full GP weekend at this difficulty for the icon, though Weekender and the first GP win are sitting nearby if you want the longer shape later. What a Lap! often shows up in the same race, because the rider who can beat Expert AI usually also has the fastest lap. It is not required. A messy last-corner pass still counts.
Online Elo is not this switch. A public lobby rates people. Expert is an offline AI setting. Ten players in a private room can be quick or slow regardless of the menu you used yesterday. If the icon is the goal, use an offline grid: 20 riders in MXGP or 16 in MX2. The larger MXGP field makes Expert louder. The MX2 field is the official support-class size and a slightly calmer place to take the first Expert win.
